Trio is a new residential development that forms part of the City Quarter development located on the site of the former Royal Alexandria Hospital for Children in Camperdown. The landscape design associated with the Trio development is comprised of the gardens to the east of the south building, the pool deck to the east of the north and central buildings, and the roof terraces on all three buildings. The design also includes the Booth Street and Pyrmont Bridge Road street frontages and the garden areas between the buildings and the boundary. In all there is a total landscape area of approximately 3,800 sqm (40,900 sqft) of which 2,600 sqm (28,000 sqft) is soft landscape.

The main communal landscape space is framed by the south building to the west, and the site boundary to the east. This garden has been designed to provide an area for passive recreational use and to provide a visual outlook from the apartments above. The garden is located entirely on podium structure and features a 50-metre outdoor lap pool which has a “wet edge” along three sides with the water gently spilling over a stone edge into a pebble drain below.
